Delete your Voice Loop account and data
If you have an account
- Sign in at /signin
- Open Settings inside the app
- Scroll to Danger Zone and click Delete my account
- Type your slug to confirm
Your account and every piece of associated data are deleted in a single transaction. The action is irreversible.
If you've connected Threads, Instagram, or Facebook
You can disconnect any single platform inside Voice Loop from Settings → Connections without deleting the rest of your account. You can also revoke Voice Loop's access from inside Meta's own settings:
- Threads → Settings → Apps and websites
- Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations
- Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites
When you revoke from Meta, our systems automatically receive Meta's signed deletion callback and delete every Meta-derived piece of data on our side within 24 hours. No action required on your end.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account (any path):
- Account record (slug, display name, password hash, email if provided)
- Every transcript you've uploaded or imported
- Your voice profile
- Every extracted post — drafts, approved, scheduled, and published
- OAuth access tokens and Meta user IDs for every connected platform
- Comments and engagement data ingested from Meta APIs
- Active sessions and rate-limit counters
- Audit logs related to your account
What does not get deleted
Content already published to Threads, Instagram, or Facebook stays on those platforms. Only the user can delete published content from there. Voice Loop has no way to retract a published post once Meta has accepted it.
Programmatic deletion (for Meta)
Meta sends signed deletion requests to https://voiceloop.app/api/meta/data-deletion-callback when a user revokes Voice Loop from inside Meta's settings or deletes their Meta account. Voice Loop verifies the signature, deletes Meta-derived data, logs the request, and returns a confirmation code. You can verify the status of any request at https://voiceloop.app/data-deletion-status?code=<your-code>.
Edge cases
If you cannot sign in (lost slug, lost password) and need your account deleted, contact steven@entrepreneurshiphacks.com from an email address that can prove account ownership. We will process within 7 days.
